Erzurum Technical University has grabbed a slice of history in line with its strategic objectives by means of initiating cooperation projects with leader research organizations of Turkey. Erzurum Technical University which will contribute as Research Project Executing Agency (APYK) has taken an important step for Turkey to become one of the most important centers in the newly-emerging 3D printers in the scientific / technological research entitled "New Generation 3D Printer Manufacturing Technology Platform" within the scope TUBITAK 1004 - High Technology Platform Phase 1 involving Main Project Manager Organization Gazi University (APYÖK)

Signing ceremony of phase 2 project proposal, including Sabanci University Aselsan along with Turkey's leading research institutions, Ermaksan, ROKETSAN, TAI, TEI and TUBITAK-MAM's, was held in Gazi University with the participations of Rector Professor Dr. Bülent ÇAKMAK and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İrfan KAYMAZ.

Erzurum Technical University will contribute in improving the dynamic behavior of a new generation of products to be obtained from the 3D printer to improve the performance of the production parameters and topology optimization of the product design and ceramic coatings. For this purpose, 3 projects will be presented under the presidency of the sub-project coordinator Prof. Dr. Irfan KAYMAZ, Prof. Dr. Fatih YETİM and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih YILDIZ.
