The TÜBİTAK-2219 post-doctoral research application numbered 1059B191900637 titled "Optimizing the Design of Order-Pick Up Warehouses Containing Collaborative Robots" by Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmut TUTAM affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Industrial Engineering of our university was deemed worthy of support by being examined at the meeting of Scientific Support Programs Presidency Research Scholarships and Supports Group Executive Board dated 20/01/2020 and numbered 31 in line with the evaluation results of panelists specialized in the relevant discipline.

In the research project, improvements are planned to be made in the design of warehouses where collaborative robots (Pick-n-Go, LocusBots and Amazon Robotics) are used to deliver the orders of online shoppers on the same-day or the next-day with the development of e-commerce. In addition, researches were conducted on The Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (New Silk Road) launched by China in 2013, it is aimed to develop joint projects with research groups such as TRAIL, ERIM and ECBC that do study within Erasmus University to increase Turkey's contribution to the Project.
