Process of Evaluating Applications

I- Evaluation

Applications are evaluated by the Ethics Committee. Evaluation results are transmitted to the researchers via the secretariat at the latest within 60 days.

In Ethics Committee evaluation process, copies of Voluntary Participation Form, Parental Consent Form (if necessary)which are used in research and measurement instruments will be evaluated in detail with the information about research in the Application Form; compliance with the universal ethics principles of research determines the quality of  committee's assessment decision (Acceptance, Revision or Denial) .

The reasons why a study receives "revision" assessment:

* Presence of ethically missing / controversial portion in the measurement tools to be used in research or in methodology 

* Deficiencies in Voluntary Participation Form and / or in the Parental Consent Form.

The reasons for the rejection of a study:

* Presence of method, instruction, questions including significant levels of ethical violation (psychological or physical risks) for Participants.

II- Transmission of Evaluation Results to Researchers in Writing  

That the evaluation is concluded is transmitted to the researchers via e-mail through the Ethics Committee secretariat. Then, researchers can receive ethics committee's decision from secretariat.


In case of changing the questionnaires, tests and scales, making new additions, changing the title of the research, adding new researchers and similar cases, you should re-arrange the documents related to the application and sign it back to the Ethics Committee secretariat (Legal Counsel) in a signed manner.
